Why would anyone want to buy a replica watch?

There are many possible reasons for buying a replica watch. Some of them are that they want to look good but are unwilling to pay a high and exorbitant price for the original timepiece.

Many customers already have an authentic original watch but would like to purchase an identical model for insurance and personal security.

Some are collectors and are looking to expand their collection.

Are your pictures on the site that of your actual watches?

Yes, ALL pictures on our site are taken by our team and are of the actual replica watches we sell. They are usually taken from more than one angle, which readily allows our customers to understand the product better.

Some of the pictures are taken of models with the 10:10 configuration of the hour / minute hands, this allows for the best exposure of the watch face.

How close to the originals are your replicas?

The quality of the replicas we have are top notch. Some of our watches are so good that they can fool professional jewelers. As a result, most jewelers do require special tests in order to distinguish our replicas from the originals.

They all come with the exact markings and engravings of the originals. For the Rolex model, they come with serial and model numbers between the lugs as well as all insignias and markings as per the original watch.

What material are your watches made out of?

All our watches are made from a solid stainless steel block. This is a very important feature as otherwise the watch would fade and deteriorate over time. If a replica is light weight that is a tell tale sign that it is not solid steel. Our watches are heavier than most replicas and weigh very similar to the original models.

What is Automatic Movement?

An automatic watch is a mechanical watch whose mainspring is wound as a result of the wearer's arm motion. The movement of the wrist and body causes the rotor, a metal weight attached to a winding mechanism, to pivot freely on its staff in the center of the movement. The rotor rotates back and forth in a circular motion at the slightest action of the wrist. The rotor's movement winds the mainspring, a flat coiled spring that powers mechanical watches.

Automatic, self-winding and perpetual all mean the same thing: the watch winds itself. Certain brands like Rolex call their watches “perpetual”. Many people appreciate the craft involved in making a mechanical automatic movement. They like the fact that this technology is hundreds of years old, involves many moving parts, and yet keeps very accurate time. (Many automatics come with glass backs which enable the wearer to view the action of the rotor and other moving parts.) They appreciate the human element involved in an automatic watch, that the movement is assembled by hand. Others like the fact that automatics run on so-called "clean," natural energy wrist power.

A person's normal arm and wrist motion will keep an automatic watch properly wound. If you haven't worn an automatic in a while, it is best to wind the stopped watch before putting it on.

Please see our section on winding your watch for more information.

Are the leather bands real leather?

Yes, all leather bands are 100% genuine leather.

Are the watches water-resistant?

Cheap replicas will never hold up under water. Get caught in the rain once and it is as good as gone. While we don't expect that our replicas should be worn for diving or swimming, they will not be damaged when in contact with water.

What is meant by automatic, chronograph, and quartz?

Automatic, or self-winding, means the watch has a self-winding mechanism which allows it to run on its own without batteries. The advantage is batteries are not required. The disadvantage is they should be serviced every few years to make sure they run smoothly.

Chronographs are the little dials (or 'clocks') which appear within the watches themselves and are always fully functional on our watches. They are normally used as stopwatch timers or as day, date and military time indicators.

Quartz means the watch runs on a battery. The main disadvantage is that you have to change the battery every few years.

What is meant by sweeping second hand, and which watches have it?

A sweeping second hand is only available on automatic movement watches. This means that the second hand sweeps smoothly instead of ticking once every second. The smooth sweep is an incorporated series of very small, rapid and tiny ticks. This makes it look like the seconds hand is sweeping smoothly.

All automatic watches have a sweeping second hand, and all battery-run (quartz) watches have a ticking second hand.

Why does my automatic replica stop ticking and losing time?

When you first receive your automatic replica, you need to wind it for 3 minutes straight before wearing it. In order to wind your new watch you must unscrew the crown fully. Once the crown fully unscrewed, turning it clockwise will wind it. While doing this you should hear it winding up, do this for a few minutes then wear your watch.

If you wear the watch daily, it will continue to wind itself on your wrist when you move around and walk. If you stop wearing it for more than approximately 2 days, the watch will need to be reset, but will then automatically wind itself once you start wearing it again. The disadvantage to this is pretty clear.

Your watch doesn't keep time if you don't wear it constantly. The advantages are that you don't ever have to replace a battery, the watch keeps great time when it's running, and most of all, this type of movement is exactly what the originals use! If your Automatic is losing or gaining time in a 24 hour period the watch needs to be adjusted. All of our automatics have an adjustment screw on the movement just like the originals. Any local jeweller can service these watches.

How do I set time?

To set time, you need to turn button in anti-clockwise direction if you have a screw-in lock watch. You need to softly pull the button out a little bit. The best way to do this is to use both your thumb and index fingers and use your finger knuckle as a lever in order to pull the button out with as little force as possible. You will feel a little "click"! Now you can set the time by turning it anti-clockwise. This would turn the minute-hour hands forward until you the right time. When the time is set, push the button back and turn the button clockwise for a few rounds to lock it back in place.

I have a watch with a date, how do I change the date?

To change date and time you need to do the following. If you have a screw-in button like Rolex, you need to turn the button anti-clockwise for a few rounds until the button is loose. Then you need to pull the button out softly by using your thumb nail and first finger nail, softly and without force. You should feel a "click" here. There are two steps when you pull the button out. The first step is for setting the date (and Day if you have a Rolex Day-Date). The second step is for setting the local time. When you are done with setting date and time, push back the button and wind it clockwise for a few times.

How long will your watches last?

This really depends on how you use the watch. If you use the watch daily or subject it to rugged wear and tear, it would not last as long as if you treat it with care. If so, the swiss watch would definitely last for upwards of 5 years.
